New Music: Hallowed
Hallowed is the second single off the 10 song album “The Unseen” due to be released in full later this year.
Hallowed draws it’s themes from a variety of places in scripture but ulitmately deals with God taking back the nations through the work of Jesus. It deals with the Deuteronomy 32 world view:
When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance,
when he divided mankind,
he fixed the borders of the peoples
according to the number of the sons of God.
But the Lord’s portion is his people,
Jacob his allotted heritage.
Basically, God keeps Jacob (what will be the Jewish nation) as his and gives the other nations of the world over to the management of his sons – not Jesus his Son but his heavenly children. If you’d like a much more thorough explanation you can watch a video by Dr Michael Heiser on the Divine Council Worldview.
Hallowed as a congregational worship song explores the concepts of the nations being able to return to the one true God, their loving father, through the work of Jesus. It’s filled with high praise and is also forcefully highlighting that His kingdom is victorious and that He is the only one true God amongst all other spiritual powers. Really it’s a celebration of the victory of God’s kingdom and the freedom he has won for those who will place their faith in Jesus. It is also a glorious reminder of what is to come for believers and a poweful reminder about the fate of the powers of darkness
Hallowed will be released on all streaming services 29/03/22
